Regulations for the facilities of the Colinas del Sol Hotel

By accepting accommodation, every guest agrees to be bound by these regulations, which they consider a contract. Therefore, they are obligated to accept and comply with them in their entirety.


In accordance with Law 9095, identification of all guests will be required to verify the relationship of minors with accompanying adults.


The hotel management is not responsible for any false or incomplete information that the guest may provide when filling out the registration form.


Accommodation must be paid in advance, either in cash, via Sinpe Móvil, or by any of the credit/debit cards accepted by the hotel. Hotel management reserves the right to process payments under different terms. Checks are not accepted.


In case of cancellation of the reservation, the "Policies–Reservation / cancellation and refund" will apply.


If a guest fails to pay for their stay within the stipulated timeframe, the Hotel Management may automatically terminate the lodging contract, demand immediate vacating of the room, and retain the guest's luggage as a guarantee. In this case, the Hotel Management will proceed to inventory the luggage in the presence of two witnesses, and if the guest has not paid the outstanding balance within 30 days, the Hotel Management may sell the luggage to settle the debt.


If a guest is absent from the Hotel for more than 72 hours without notifying Management, Management may terminate the lodging contract, proceeding in case of debt on the part of the guest, in accordance with the previous point.


Upon leaving their room, all guests are required to close the windows and door, as well as turn off the lights, fans, air conditioning, and close the water faucets. Failure to comply with this rule will result in the guest being held responsible for any damages or losses caused.


At the time of check-out and handing over the room, the guest has the obligation to notify the reception and must also hand over the keys and any other device/item that the hotel has provided, as well as the pool towels.


Losing a key will require replacing the lock for guest security. In case of loss by the guest, a fee equivalent to 100% of one night's accommodation will be charged.


The hotel is not responsible for money, valuables, and items left by guests in the room.

We reserve the right to refuse admission to any person the guest wishes to receive in their room. Such visitors must report to reception and, under the guest's responsibility, comply with these regulations, as any violation will result in termination of the lodging agreement.


No guest has the right to accommodate unregistered persons in their room without first completing the respective procedures at the hotel reception.


Children under 12 years of age should not leave the rooms alone, but should be accompanied by adults who supervise them and prevent them from causing accidents, damage or disturbances.


Children will be under the sole responsibility of their families in the hotel areas; therefore, this establishment is not responsible for any possible accidents.


Firearms, explosive materials, flammable materials, narcotics or similar substances are not allowed in the hotel.


Guests must use the hotel's furniture and facilities responsibly and in moderation. Otherwise, they will be liable for any damage caused.


The hotel's security measures strictly prohibit guests from connecting and using electrical appliances (irons, clothes dryers, etc.), gas stoves, or any other equipment that could endanger the safety of the hotel.


Sound equipment such as radios, recorders, Bluetooth devices, etc. are not allowed inside the hotel premises unless used with headphones.


In accordance with the regulations of the Hotel Colinas del Sol, in case of infringement of one or more of the conditions cited above, by way of example, the HOTEL has the right to immediately terminate the accommodation contract and at the request of the Hotel Management, the guests will immediately vacate the occupied room or rooms if:


The guest or their companions violate the provisions of these regulations. The client is also obligated to pay for all the days of accommodation specified in the reservation.


They appear in a state of intoxication or under the influence of stimulants or drugs.

Disturb the rest of other guests or engage in offenses against morality and good customs or conduct behaviors that offend other customers or hotel staff.


The contracting party fails to fulfill an outstanding obligation.


Performance of the contract is impossible due to force majeure, strike or other circumstances not attributable to the hotel.


The contractor provides confusing or false information about important data.


The hotel has justifiable reasons to believe that the enjoyment of the hotel's services by the Contractor may jeopardize the smooth running of the hotel's business, the safety or the public image of the Hotel.


If the guest refuses to leave the room or the establishment, the Hotel Management, without further request, may request assistance from the relevant authorities for immediate eviction without any formalities.


The hotel is not responsible for breach of contract when the event cannot be held due to force majeure such as: fires, earthquakes, strikes, civil unrest and others.


The hotel reserves the right to inspect the room upon the guest's departure, in order to verify the perfect condition of the room's furniture and equipment.


Should any guest become ill, the Hotel Management is authorized to demand immediate medical attention, which will be at the guest's expense; and if the illness is contagious, the Hotel Management is authorized to demand the guest's immediate transfer to a hospital.


Room cleaning will be done in the morning, from 8:00am to 12:00pm.


Guests who do not make their rooms available during those hours will not have their room cleaned, although towels and toiletries may be replenished.


Eating and drinking are not permitted outside of designated areas. The use of cigarettes or vaporizers, alcoholic beverages, drugs, or similar substances is prohibited, as is the use of glass containers near the pool.


It is forbidden for people to remain in the pool area during thunderstorms.

Entry is prohibited for people with bandages of any kind, or with skin, mucous membrane or respiratory conditions.


The hotel is not responsible for the partial or total loss of goods, valuables or vehicles in our parking lot.


All users park in the hotel parking lot at their own risk.


The hotel is not responsible for damage caused to vehicles by third parties.


All guests have access to the hotel parking lot with prior reservation, at no cost.


Prolonged stays of people inside the vehicle and/or in the parking area are not permitted.


Any vehicle will be removed from the site by crane after 72 hours in which there is no information about the owner or responsible party, so the presence of the respective authorities of the MOPT or DGPT will be requested and it will be taken to the premises of said institution.

Please respect the environment; the removal of flora or fauna within the hotel area is strictly prohibited.


Feeding wildlife is prohibited.


According to the (Decree 44486-S) "Regulation for the Control of Environmental Noise", the hotel requires its guests to observe a quiet period between 8:00pm and 6:00am.


The hotel provides white towels for use in the room and towels of a different color for use at the pool. If either towel is lost, a replacement fee of $20 USD (or its equivalent in Costa Rican colones) will be charged.


Breakfast is served every day from 7:30am to 9:30am; breakfast will not be served after this time.


The restaurant's opening hours are as follows:

Monday: Closed

Tuesday to Sunday: 12pm to 8pm (continuous hours)

According to (Article 45 bis of Law 7600) Guide dogs are allowed to stay without additional charges in the pool area, restaurant and other areas of the hotel.

You must carry the documentation that certifies it.

The pet must always be on a leash.


In the room, pets are not allowed on the bed or sofas, and in other areas, pets are not allowed on chairs or beach chairs in the pool area.
